The Basic Riding Course is for beginning riders who wish to learn to ride, and to ride safely.
The class includes approximately 5 hours of classroom and two busy, full days outside on the range.
Students need a good sense of balance, you should have recent bicycle experience. You also must have a valid car drivers license and a
positive attitude towards learning a fun, new skill. Prior to arriving for class Students will be expected to read the MSF Handbook
and to know the answers to the questions in the back of the book.
Books can be picked up prior to class, or mailed to you, per your preference and time restraints.
Students are responsible for bringing the following items to class:
Your MSF Student Workbook, with the answers marked
Your Drivers License
Appropriate Eye Protection
Long Sleeved Shirt or Jacket
Long Pants
Sturdy over the ankle Boots or Shoes
Full Fingered Gloves
Snacks, Beverages such as Sport Drinks and Water - You'll want to stay hydrated!
BCMT will supply DOT approved Helmets to those who need them. We supply the motorcycles.
If you own your own mc helmet you can use your own. It must be 3/4 or full face,
and DOT approved to use in class. No beanies or 1/2 shells allowed.
Winter Classes are offered in 2 1/2 day format.
2 1/2 day formats will require a 2.5 hour evening session prior to the first riding day.
If a student shows up for class unprepared in any way, including not bringing any of the above named items, he or she may be asked to leave.
Tuition will not be refunded in these cases, but you may be able to reschedule for a fee, at a later date when you will be more prepared.

CANCELLATIONS are honored up to 48 hrs prior to starting class date.
A $45.00 processing fee for withdrawals will be charged. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, your tuition fee may be forfeited.
POSTPONING CLASS with 48 hrs notice or more, First Time - No Charge.
Postponing with less than 48 hrs notice or Multiple Class Date Changes will incur a $45 processing fee.
